By browsing, using, or downloading any information from this site, you represent that you have read and agree to The Tutor Connection, LLC's terms of service and privacy policy. If you do not agree with all of the terms of service or privacy policy, please do not continue use of the site.
1) All appointments scheduled online through The Tutor Connection (TTC) website (http://thetutorconnection.net) must be made at least one (1) day in advance.
2) Twelve (12) hour advance notice must be given for a cancellation or rescheduling of a session in order to receive a refund or be able to apply prepayment to another session. Similarly, if a tutor fails to provide 12 hours of advance notice, the customer’s account will be credited with the cost of the session plus ONE FREE HOUR of tutoring.
3) Customers may not offer direct or indirect employment to any tutor on the TTC staff. Such unauthorized employment will jeopardize the tutor’s future employment with TTC and will result in an immediate termination of the customer’s tutoring services.
4) TTC has the right to terminate tutoring services to any customer at any time.
5) TTC and its tutors hold the copyright on all of its instructional materials, and it is strictly forbidden to disseminate or resell any of these proprietary materials. In the event that you are left with proprietary materials from a tutoring session(s), they may be used personally.
6) All tutors are contract laborers, meaning that TTC is neither liable nor responsible for any damages incurred by tutors during travel to and from (in the case of a face-to-face session) or execution of any session. In the event of an accident or incident, please notify the TTC director immediately so that proper action may be taken. TTC will attempt all good and reasonable actions to resolve any situation that may arise.
7) Under no circumstances will TTC or its contracted tutors ever aid in irresponsible or unethical educational acts, such as plagiarism, cheating, or other duplicitous behavior designed to artificially increase a student’s grades. If a customer requests such services from a tutor, tutoring services will be immediately discontinued without refund.
8) TTC tutors are trained and experienced tutors who will do all that they can to make student success a reality; however, all work is the responsibility of the students. Tutors cannot guarantee success if students do not make the required effort, nor will tutors do their work for them.
9) TTC may make changes to any of its products and services, including its policies and procedures at any time without liability. TTC's site may be accessed in many parts of the world, including outside North America.. Not all services may be available in all places so any reference to services or products does not imply that TTC is available in all places. At present our target market is local students of the Tampa Bay, FL area, but we will not turn away students of the United States who have online access to our service.
WARRANTY AND OTHER DISCLAIMERS
THE TTC WEBSITE AND ITS MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. TTC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES THAT THE WEBSITE AND MATERIALS ARE FREE OF DEFECTS, VIRUS FREE AND ABLE TO OPERATE ON AN UNINTERRUPTED BASIS OR THAT ERRORS WILL BE CORRECTED AND THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES THAT THE WEBSITE AND MATERIALS ARE MERCHANTABLE, OF SATISFACTORY QUALITY, ACCURATE, FIT FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NEED, CREATE AN EXPECTATION OF PRIVACY OR NON-INFRINGING, UNLESS SUCH IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE LEGALLY INCAPABLE OF EXCLUSION.
FURTHER, THIS DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY APPLIES TO ANY DAMAGES OR INJURY CAUSED BY ANY FAILURE OF PERFORMANCE, ERROR, OMISSION, INTERRUPTION, DELETION, DELAY IN OPERATION OR TRANSMISSION, COMMUNICATION LINE FAILURE, THEFT OR DESTRUCTION OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO, ALTERATION OF, OR USE OF RECORD, WHETHER FOR BREACH OF CONTRACT, TORTIOUS BEHAVIOR, NEGLIGENCE OR UNDER ANY CAUSE OF ACTION.
NO ADVICE OR INFORMATION GIVEN BY TTC SHALL CREATE A WARRANTY OR EXPAND THE SCOPE OF ANY WARRANTY THAT CANNOT BE DISCLAIMED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW. YOUR USE OF THE TTC WEBSITE AND THE MATERIALS IS SOLELY AT YOUR RISK.
SOME STATES OR OTHER JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY FROM STATE TO STATE AND JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION.
